Putting a New Spin on Milling & Turning.

Putting a New Spin on Milling & Turning.

Rusting

Rusting.

So there’s this machine shop right in the midst of Southington, CT that has been doing high quality milling and turning for years, turning out ball valve components and other products for the OEM manufacturing companies in the water, gas, heating, refrigeration and heavy equipment industries. Yet, there was a slight problem: they spent so much of their time milling and turning, they didn’t have time for any marketing spin

Polishing

Polishing.

Once the rust is brushed away, an organization’s very essence is exposed. For Supreme Lake all it needed was little polish here and there. So we looked at the Supreme Lake logo and kept elements that hearkened back to its proud heritage and contemporized them, conveying an image of a brand with a strong, lasting foundation that has kept up with the times and then some.

First, a Facelift

First, a Facelift

Some companies are marketing intensive and others, not. Usually what happens is some marketing materials, including a website, are developed and then not attended to for years. (Of course, when you’re constantly turning out class-A products to precise standards on-time and on-budget, who has time for marketing). That’s where we came in. We took Supreme Lake’s website into the 2020s and, voila, the company magically “youthened.”

Struttin' Our Stuff.

Struttin' Our Stuff.

In today’s world, people are not tethered to their desks. They move around. And websites have to move with them. In fact, Google has adopted a “mobile first” policy in which their indexing is based upon the mobile-appropriateness of a site. So we went mobile first as well, assuring that the website was responsive and adaptable to the mobile environment.

Inside-To-Out.

Inside-to-Out.

Now that we have a new polished identity and multi-platform web presence, we need to instill this to our employees. So we whipped up a few hats, T-shirts, coffee cups and pens. Ostensibly, to be used at work and make them feel even better about their company. But guess what? When the walk outside the building with a Supreme Lake hat or T-shirt, they are becoming the company’s advocates to the outside world. Cool, huh?

Hanging Out With The Trade.

Hanging Out with the Trade.

We dare not leave the trade out of the celebration of our new refreshed identity, now would we? So we translated our new logo and graphics into trade materials, hanging screens which sprang our new looks right up into their faces.

What’s In a Name.

What’s In a Name.

So how does Signature differentiate a company that makes great products to precise standards in a way that is memorable and tied to its brand? Here, we received a gift: the very name of the company – Supreme Lake Manufacturing – provided fodder for an excellent advertising concept: Supreme Precision. Supreme Timing. Supreme Lake.

Taking Our Facelift to Social Media.

Taking Our Facelift to Social Media.

Of course, now that Supreme Lake had a new look and a new marketing concept, why not put it on display. Immediately, we redesigned the company’s Facebook page and started developing posts that were consistent with the company’s new look and direction.
