
It Began with a Vision.
For years, the beautiful art deco Ponds building in Clinton, CT housed the operations of the Cheeseborough Ponds company, known for its popular cold cream product. But, alas, over time the company moved its operations and the building stood vacant for many years. What can one do with an abandoned cold cream factory? Enter a group of developers with a vision.

Mixing it Up.
While others saw an abandoned cold cream factory, our developers saw a mixed-use community comprised of offices, warehouses, luxury apartments, a craft beer brewery, health and recreational facilities and more. But, they couldn’t do it alone. They needed a name, a brand, a message and communications programs reaching out to real estate agents and prospective commercial and residential tenants, restaurateurs and retailers among others. So they hired Signature Brand Factory.

What’s in a Name?
Immediately, Signature went to work on a name. The entire property was located next to a train station on the Connecticut Shore Line, a definite benefit for commuters. So after putting our collective heads together, we came up with a name: The Station at Clinton. But the name was not enough, the development needed a logo, a brand identity, a style guide for all its various uses down the road. Again, Signature delivered.

A Stake in the Ground
Where can you stake your ground even before you have ground to stake? In today’s world, that’s easy. Do it digitally. Signature developed a website that brought Station’s Landing to life, celebrating its location, impending facilities and, most importantly, the vibrancy this whole new community would bring to the surrounding area. It’s the spot where Station’s Landing first came to life.

But there’s still more to it. Prospective commercial tenants need to know more about accessibility, the employment base, the surrounding area. Prospective residential tenants want to know about commutation, lifestyle possibilities, recreational opportunities, nearby entertainment, attractions and more. That means brochures, email blasts, billboards, trade ads, consumer ads, highly targeted marketing programs and more. Signature Brand Factory was more than up to the tasks.

The Station at Clinton is still in its infancy. The legacy art-deco Pond’s buildings are being renovated and enhanced. The warehouse space and loading docks are being updated. Venues for the craft brewery, restaurants, health and recreational activities and retailers are under construction. Soon, ground will break for the luxury apartments.
