SPX Precision Components was a company that was built on strategic acquisitions of quality manufacturing companies producing flight-critical components for the military. The new company needed to synergize its acquisitions where each individual brand was appreciated for its specialty but also contributed to a much large whole than the sum of its parts.

Reclaiming Brand Equity Piece-by-Piece.
SPX Precision Components was a new brand in a mature marketplace composed of former well-known brands. What the company needed was a new branding strategy so compelling that it would immediately establish its marketplace presence by using its component brands as a foundation. And guess what? We did.

When Quality Becomes Commoditized.
Without doubt, the quality of each of its component companies was SPX’s major point of difference. But they were all quality brands in a market where everyone claimed quality. So what’s an agency to do? Signature developed persuasive branding and promotional materials to synergize the component companies into something much, much bigger.

The Medium is the Message.
SPX needed a medium or venue to maximize its new identity and quality positioning. The Paris Air Show was in the offing and Signature recommended making a big splash at the industry’s premiere event.
Taking It to a Higher Dimension.
Signature developed a video to be the centerpiece of SFX’s presence at the air show. But Signature went way beyond the production of a conventional video. We used our in-house 3d animation resources to feature a prominent and iconic ‘X,’ – drilling home the new brand equity – and added compelling images of the SPX workforce, machining technology and today’s most advanced aircraft. Dynamic camera angles and animated aircraft transitions lifted the production. The inherent quality of the video conveyed the quality of the client. As a result, SFX’s presence at the Paris Air Show was a big success.
